This page covers the few things about TydiTribe you would not guess from a standard privacy policy: who else can see what you log, what stays behind when you leave, what happens when you tap a link to an outside service, and what you should not upload. For the general list of what we collect and how our technical infrastructure processes it, see our base Privacy Policy.
When you invite someone and they accept, they get access to all the records in that home, not only the ones added after they joined.
They can see every item you track, everything that has been done and when, who did it, any amounts you logged, and every bill, warranty, or document attached, including things you saved months or years before you invited them. There is no partial access, and no way to hide individual entries or documents from someone who has access.
They can also add to those records, and edit them.
So invite only people you would be comfortable showing all of it to. Before you invite someone, it is worth checking what is already attached, particularly documents. Access is to the whole set, at once, and it lasts until you remove them.
The person who created the home controls who has access, and can remove anyone at any time.
TydiTribe exists to remember what was done and by whom. That is the point of it, and it has a consequence.
If you leave a shared set of records, or someone removes you, everything you logged stays there, attributed to you, by name. The people who still have access continue to see that you did it. We do not remove your entries, because doing so would tear a hole in a record other people rely on.
Deleting your whole TydiTribe account is different. We delete your account and your personal details, and your past entries are relabelled so they no longer carry your name. They show a former member instead. The entries themselves remain.
One limit worth being plain about. If your name is printed inside a document you uploaded, on an invoice, a warranty card, a service receipt, deleting your account does not remove it. We change the label on the entry. We do not reach inside the file and alter its contents. If that matters to you, delete those documents before you delete your account.
You can delete your account, and all your personal data, from Settings at any time. It completes within 24 hours.
On some tasks we may show options for outside services: a technician, an insurance renewal, somewhere to buy a replacement part. They appear only where they are relevant, and only if you want them.
When you tap one, you leave TydiTribe and arrive at that company's own app or website. We do not send them your name, your phone number, your email, or anything about your records. We pass a plain link that tells them the visit came from us, and nothing else.
From that point their privacy policy governs what happens, not ours. If you buy or book something, we may earn a small referral fee. That fee never changes the price you pay, and it never changes which options we show you or the order they appear in.
You can attach documents to anything you track: bills, warranties, service records, so they are there when you need them. They are held in encrypted storage located in India, and only people with access to that set of records can see them.
You can delete any document at any time, and all of them are deleted when you delete your account.
Two things we ask you not to upload. Government identity documents, Aadhaar, PAN, passport. And anything that identifies a child by name or photo, such as a school record or a vaccination certificate. TydiTribe is not built to hold identity proofs or children's records, and once a document is attached, everyone with access to those records can see it.
If a data breach occurs, we notify the Data Protection Board of India within 72 hours, as the law requires.
We also tell you directly, through a message in the app or an email to your registered contact, without waiting. You will hear it from us, not from somewhere else.
You can ask us what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy of it, or ask us to delete all of it. Write to our grievance officer at privacy@tyditribe.com and we will respond within 7 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
